Do you prefer pictures over words? Maybe you would prefer to write a comic strip! Here are several ways you can experiment with cartooning.
Jarrett Lerner has some wonderful comic strip-drawing activities. You will have to scroll down to find half-drawn comics for you to finish and some fun writing/drawing prompts, but you’ll also see some cool how-to-draw and how-to-letter activities. Do you want more guidance? Maybe one of his thank-you note prompts would be better.
For those who want to work online, head over to Make-Beliefs Comics and choose a comic strip starter. You’ll find a web-based comic strip creator, complete with pre-drawn characters and lots of prompts.
Also, the Library of Congress has an activity sheet about exploring and creating comics.
