It’s never too late to start!
Resources for Parents
Every Child Ready to Read
The best advice for families with young children is to read together every day. TALKING, SINGING, READING, WRITING, AND PLAYING can help your child succeed in school.
Big Hearted Families Reading Lists
Lists of children’s books on specific topics, curated to encourage empathy and kindness. Ask a librarian how to find some of these books at the SCFPL, with discussion cards inside!
Child Development Basics (CDC)
Great resource for parents to learn about the basics of child development: what’s normal, what you should be concerned about, and what parenting practices help children the most.

Spring Break @ SCFPL!
Spring Break in St Croix Falls is March 17-21. No Problem! The library will have drop-in crafts available Monday through Thursday, and on Friday we will be hosting a BLOCK PARTY! No, not that kind of block — the kind where you stack or snap different blocks together to make something bigger. So drop in anytime March 17-20, and join us from 1-3 PM on March 21 for some blockin’ fun!

Preschool Yoga Storytime with Yogilli
On the last Wednesday of every month, join Ms. Elham and her friend Yogilli for stories and poses that entertain, and also teach emotional regulation skills! Dates are January 29, February 26, March 26, April 30, May 28, and June 25, at 10:15 AM. (This event stands in place of regular storytime with Ms. Laura.)

Winter Storytime
Warm your frozen noses and toeses at the library this winter! Our winter season of storytime runs on Wednesday mornings at 10:15 AM from January 8 through March 19. Join us for stories, songs, and more!
