You — yes, you — can write your own novel. And you can do it in a month. November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. And this year’s event is going to be so much fun!
The Cadott Library is hosting three events in October, leading up to NaNoWriMo in November. The first, on October 1, is called “What is NaNoWriMo?”, and will give an overall description of the month. (Facebook event link) The second, on October 8, is called “Planners vs. Pantsers”, and will discuss different approaches to novel writing. (Facebook event link) The third, on October 15, is called “NaNoWriMo Q&A with an ML”, and will be a question and answer session with Northwest Wisconsin’s NaNoWriMo Municipal Liason (ML), who also happens to be Cadott Library’s director. Do you want to write a novel for NaNoWriMo, but have no idea what you want to write? That’s perfectly okay. There are activities that can help with that. Some of them have been featured here already. Others will be posted here in the future.
