AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR KIDS 8+! This is a creative, social, lab-style after school program. Perfect for kids interested in digital creation, art, technology, or gaming, our research-based program promotes learning and engagement through hanging out, messing around, and geeking out with friends!
Held in the Library's Community Create Space, from 3:30-5:00PM when school is in session-- children may take the bus from the SCF Elementary or Middle School to the library with a note to the school from a caregiver.
Any child under the age of 16 who plans to spend one or more hours at the library without a parent present may be asked to sign in. At the St. Croix Falls Public Library, we have high expectations for our student users, and any unaccompanied child over 8 years old is responsible for his or her own actions and must be considerate and respectful of all people using and working at the library. Unaccompanied children are also expected to be able to follow all library rules, work independently, and clean up after themselves. Children younger than 8 years old MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Kids unwilling to follow rules may be asked to leave the library for the day. Please make sure your child is familiar with library rules and your expectations for them before they attend library programming and please make sure that your child is very familiar with your family’s emergency action plan and that he or she knows how to get in contact with you or another trusted adult.
